Call of Duty

Not being a video game player, I'm not up on the lastest releases and what games are hot. My son however is. Lucas and his Dad pre-ordered Call of Duty 4. Turns out it's being released at midnight on the day its due to be released. Initialy I thought that his Dad was going to take him to get the game (at midnight) and I thought it was coming out on a Friday. Turns out it came out on a Tuesday and this is the norm. Scoring some Mommy points I woke up at 11:45 p.m. and took my son to Hastings to get his game. He assured me there would not be much of a line, but promised if there was we would get the game the next day. Lucas was right and the line was fairly short. We went to Hastings, which I've learned is smart as they only sell for a short amount of time and only a few folks go there. We were home by 12:30 a.m. Lucas worked hard to be allowed to stay home from school the next day, which he did. I understand that he went to bed around 3 a.m. I told him I considered calling the school and letting them know he was home playing games all day and night but I didn't. In any event, Lucas got his game and is enjoying Call of Duty 4 and being a Mom I too fulfilled my Call of Duty. Worth every memory.
